Our Mission I would like to dedicate this page to all those gay guys out there who live in a rural area. Me and my life partner have lived in a small town here in Oklahoma for more than 9 years now...this is his hometown. I always thought I would like to live in a big city but love brought me here. If you live in a small town you know how it is...everybody knows everyone's business. Kind of hard to hide the fact that two men are living together...especially after 9 years. I am sure people thought I was just a friend who needed a place to stay...but for 9 years? lol...I remember the second year I was here , we lived in some apartments, and one day on my way out I noticed something on our door...someone had spray painted FAGS . Stunned I just stood there and the neighbor across the breezeway came out of his apartment....he saw the door and immediately said "I will remove that just give me a minute"....he was also our grounds keeper at the apartments. I said thanks and went to work...by the time I was home, there was a fresh coat of paint....it looked like a new door. Later we found out that a young butch girl had wrote it....(I say butch because she was just like a boy.) I later found out that she is now a lesbian? Who Knew?! Anyway you get the idea...living in a small town can sometimes be very hard...but there are also good reasons to live in a small town. You have all the space you need, fresh air, peace from crowded areas, ect. So if you are gay...you live in a small town, I would love to hear from you, email me or something. Us QUEERS have to stick together! LOL...I often think of Mathew Shepard...and what those guys did to him...we all know that could of been one of us...we must not let these BIGOTS (FRED PHELPS)....get us down! Be proud of who YOU are...and don’t let anyone take that from you....your rural gay friend in Oklahoma....Ray
